Samsung is teaming-up with Qualcomm and ARM to launch the secure video HD service utilizing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon StudioAccess and ARM’s TrustZone technologies. As a result, folks with select Samsung devices will be able to watch “brilliant HD videos” directly on their mobile device through Samsung Media Hub.
The scheme starts with the Galaxy Note, which 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display is perfect for video content consumption. Note user will get the new technology via a firmware update to be announced at a later date.
In the meantime, the Korean giant is demoing the Snapdragon/TrustZone-enabled HD viewing service at Mobile World Congress, showing side-by-side comparison of two devices, one enabled with this technology and one without.
