Wikitude unveiled new SDK based on its ARchitect Engine, allowing developers to integrate augmented reality experiences into their apps using JavaScript. Actually, the whole ARchitect Engine is made as a JavaScript framework that can be embedded in an HTML web view which sits atop the Wikitude camera view and enables developers to control the objects in the camera view. More precisely, using the new SDK developers can define GeoObjects, Drawables, and various interaction triggers (Field of Vision, Clicks, etc).
The new Wikitude SDK is available in trial version for both iOS and Android based devices. Interested companies and individuals can already publish ARchitect based Worlds within the new Wikitude World Browser 6.5, which is already available for download.
The full version of the SDK will be released soon and can be licensed for commercial projects. Developers of non-commercial projects can integrate the SDK for free.
