The updates finally seem to be coming in at a regular pace for Activision’s iOS zombie murder simulator, Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies after its initial release late last year. Last month, Activision released an update that added some new weapons as well as having the option of purchasing in-game currency through IAP. Now it looks like we’re finally getting some brand new content in Black Ops Zombies’ latest update.
The latest update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies adds the fan favorite zombie map, Ascension, to the list of maps of the already played out Kino der Toten and the top-down shooter map, Dead Ops Arcade. Ascension has you fighting through a Soviet missile test facility that’s been overrun by zombies. Not only will you be fighting Soviet Zombies, but you’ll also be attacked by zombie monkeys. There’s also the addition of some new weapons such as the Thunder Gun, Matryska dolls, Gersh Device and the Sickle.
If you purchase the game or update it, you’ll receive a one-time gift of 5,000 CoD points that can be used while you play to purchase weapons, open doors, and anything else you would normally do with points in the game. If hearing about zombie monkeys didn’t get you to start downloading CoD:BOZ immediately upon reading, then hopefully hearing about free points will get you. Either way, this serves as a great way to get back into the game if you’ve already purchased it.
