Almost missed this… And it’s fairly important considering it could potentially add an extra life to Microsoft’s mobile platform.
Mobile monetization network Tapjoy released SDKs for Windows Phone to give developers a “turnkey platform” for acquiring cost-effective new users, driving deeper engagement within their apps, and monetizing virtual goods or premium content. Here’s what’s included:
- Ad Marketplace – which is Tapjoy’s optimized list of marketing actions consumers can choose to engage with in order to obtain in-game virtual currency or premium content.
- Featured Ads – full-screen interstitials that highlight a single advertisement at a time.
- Banner Ads – standard banner-sized ads which help maximize publisher inventory.
- Videos Ads – where publishers are paid on a Cost Per Completed View basis. Video ads are currently available for Silverlight developers.
- Virtual Goods/Currency Management – turnkey virtual goods and virtual currency management infrastructure that supports all processing, merchandising and fulfillment requirements.
