Canada’s Rogers Wireless and Bell will soon beef-up their mid-range Android offerings with a new phone from Samsung – Galaxy Rugby, which is the same device offered by AT&T as Rugby Smart.
The rumor goes on suggesting that Sammy’s baby will start selling on April 11th with both carrier presumingly starting to take orders at that point. We also know how much Rogers will ask for the phone: $49.99 on a three-year, $99.99 on a two-year and $149.99 on one-year contract. Additionally, those who don’t like committing on monthly plans will be able to get the phone for $279.99 sans any strings attached.
Specs wise, the Galaxy Rugby comes with a 3.65-inch Gorilla Glass-protected HVGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel rear-facing camera, VGA front-facing one, 800MHz processor, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, memory card slot, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show.
