Google turned to its own social network (Google+) to share the good news. Users in select countries on (again) select mobile networks will be able to pay for mobile content without their credit cards thanks to the wonder of direct carrier billing (which consequently adds all purchases to your monthly phone bill). The first batch of carriers supporting the capability includes:
- Germany: T-Mobile, Vodafone
- Italy: Vodafone
- Japan: KDDI, Docomo, Softbank
- Korea: KT, SKT, LGU+
- Spain: Vodafone
- UK: T-Mobile, Vodafone
- US: AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint
And we’re sure that’s just a start with additional markets and carriers getting the capability in the near future…
