We knew Samsung would have something up its sleeves for CTIA and the company followed through by introducing the Samsung Focus 2 for AT&T. This followup to one of the very first Windows Phone sports 4G LTE support and a $50 price tag.
The Samsung Focus 2 has decent specs for the price, as this Windows Phone will come with a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera that can shoot in 720p. The handset will launch with Windows Phone Mango and this includes the ability to quickly jump through apps as well as the live tile interface that we’ve grown accustomed to.
There’s not really too much more to say about the Focus 2 other than the fact that it’s 10.98mm thin, weighs 4.3 ounces and will come in glossy white. This is obviously aimed at the first-time smartphone buyer with that $50 price tag with a two-year contract, so don’t expect it to be competing with devices like the HTC One X.
We’re going to get our hands on this thing soon, so we’ll let you know if it’s worth checking out. The Focus 2 will be landing on AT&T May 20.
