AT&T has just announce that they will carry two Windows 8 tablets, and yes, they’ll both be carrier-exclusives. Ma Bell will sell the ASUS VivoTab RT and the Samsung ATIV Smart PC with a full Windows 8 experience this holiday season. ASUS’ VivoTab RT is based on the Windows 8 RT platform and features a 10.1” multi-touch Super IPS display with ASUS TruVivid technology, a quad-core Tegra 3 TE processor, 32GB of storage, Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 RT Preview Edition and 4G LTE connectivity.

The Samsung ATIV Smart PC brings a full Windows 8 experience to AT&T, complete with a fully loaded trial version of Microsoft Office 2013. The ATIV Smart PC features an 11.6” HD PLS display, Intel Clover Trail 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 64GB of internal storage. The press release doesn’t mention LTE connectivity for the ATIV Smart PC, leading us to believe this tablet will be HSPA+ only. We’ve reached out to AT&T for comment on this, and will update this story when we hear back.

No word on pricing and availability for the two tablets was given, and we expect that information will be revealed closer to the end of the month, when Windows 8 launches to the public.
