AT&T prices Lumia 920, HTC Windows Phone 8X from $99.99, Lumia 820 at $49.99

AT&T has announced the on-contract pricing for the HTC Windows Phone 8X and Nokia’s Lumia 920 and 820 handsets this morning, and it will continue the trend set by the Lumia 900. AT&T priced the high-end Lumia 900 at $100 on contract, and that will be the price for the Nokia Lumia 920 when the Lumia devices go on sale on November 9th. The Lumia 820 will retail for $49.99.

HTC’s powerful Windows Phone 8X will come in two varieties; a 16GB for $199.99, and an 8GB variant in California Blue and Limelight Yellow for $99.99. The Windows Phone 8X still doesn’t have a final launch date, though AT&T promises the devices will be in stores by Thanksgiving. November 12th has previously been rumored as a launch date for the device in the U.S.

At $100, the Lumia 920 is an awfully compelling device, and presents a solid alternative to comparable phones running Android and iOS, which tend to be priced at $199 at launch. Nokia obviously hopes those who don’t want to shell out an extra $100 for a top of the line device will line up in droves for the Lumia 920, though that strategy didn’t exactly pan out with the Lumia 900.
