HTC M7 to succeed One X, Droid DNA in February

We’ve heard rumblings of the HTC M7 for a while now, but now we’re hearing a bit more in terms of specifications of the new device. The HTC M7 is said to replace the existing HTC One X model, and pumps up the specs across the board. Still, when you see the rumored specs, it does read a bit like the HTC Droid DNA and One X+.

Said to rock a 4.7 inch, 1080p display with a PPI count of 468, the HTC M7 takes the lead over a healthy amount of devices on the market. Said display is rumored to be called SoLux. Other specs for the M7 include a 13 megapixel camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB internal storage, 2GB of RAM, and a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. On the software side of things, the HTC M7 will be rocking some Android Jelly Bean, with HTC Sense 5 on top.

While terribly impressive in its own right, the M7 is pretty similar to the existing HTC One X+ and Droid DNA. We supposed this technically isn’t a bad thing, but it’s interesting to see a device that essentially overlaps many of the specs found on some of HTC’s device that have just landed on the market.

At the moment, it looks like we can expect the M7 to land on both Verizon and Sprint, but the monster device may indeed end up shipping on all four major carriers sometime in 2013.

Expected to debut at Mobile World Congress in February, the HTC M7 has all the specs to turn some heads. Are you interested?
