Samsung will launch its 2013 flagship in May, the company’s Lebanon office said on Facebook. We’ve never believed that will happen at CES but we did hope the Korean giant will launch the Galaxy S IV from the floor of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. That, however, won’t be the case and Sammy will once again host a separate event dedicated to launching its latest superphone.
I’m not sure how this plays out for Samsung since all other handset makers will have their flagship devices unveiled before, either at CES or MWC. Then again, let’s not forget that last year the HTC One X was launched before the Galaxy S III but that didn’t hurt Samsung from winning hearts, minds and ultimately wallets of mobile users. We’ll see whether they can repeat the success this year, as well…
