Samsung is thought to be working on a successor to the successful Galaxy S II handset. The S IV is at the end of development and may be announced something this spring. The most recent details about the handset, grabbed from Antutu Benchmarks, suggest it may have an Exynos 5 Octa processor clocked at 1.8GHz and Android 4.2.1 under the hood.
The Exynos 5 Octa is a monster of a CPU with 8-cores, four ARM Cortex A15 cores (1.8GHz) and four Cortex A7 cores (1.2GHz). Though it has 8 cores, only four can be active at any given time. Also on board with the Exynos 5 Octa is the PowerVR SGX-544MP3 GPU at 533MHz.
Besides the sweet processor noted above, the Galaxy S IV is rumored to ship with a 5-inch SuperAMOLED Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, and Android 4.2.1.
