LG Optimus G Pro officially announced in Japan

We’ve told you that the LG Optimus G Pro is coming and voila – it has been announced in Japan at the time when most of the world still waits to get the Optimus G. As you can imagine, the G Pro builds on its predecessor to include a bigger, 5-inch screen with full HD (1080p) resolution. In addition, it also uses a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chip, clocked at 1.7GHz; and a heftier 3,000mAh battery. Rest of the specs are pretty much unchanged and involve 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, LTE connectivity support, 32GB of built-in storage and a microSD memory card slot.

NTT Docomo will start offering the LG Optimus G Pro from April and by that time we expect this monster-phone to be available all around the world… or not. Judging by LG’s existing distribution efforts, some parts of the world will have to wait a little longer…

As you said it – most of us still can’t buy the Optimus G… LG has to do its distribution right if it wants to stay relevant.
