AT&T has confirmed that its HTC One X will be getting an update that will include Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The update will be rolling out OTA today, and will bring with it several updates and some new features to play with.
Included in the update are some new apps from AT&T, including AT&T Locker, AT&T DriveMode, and AT&T Messages. AT&T Locker is Dropbox type solution, allowing users to store photos videos and documents in the cloud. AT&T DriveMode is an app that helps drivers curb their texting while driving habits, and AT&T Messages puts all of your texts, calls and voicemails in one inbox.
Of course, HTC One X users will be getting all of the Jelly Bean goodies, such as Google Now, notification improvements, and a new timer for the front-facing camera.
The HTC One X is also Isis compatible, which will allow users to make payments with their devices. Isis goes a step further than other NFC payment solutions by adding the ability to add loyalty cards to the Isis app.
So keep your eyes peeled for the update, as it’s slated to roll out today, but exactly when it will hit your device is anyone’s guess. If your feeling antsy, while connected to Wi-Fi on your device, select Applications> Settings> About phone> Check for Updates to see if the Jelly Bean update is ready for you.
