Sprint Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 owners are getting a new update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean today. This update had been released for Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 U.S. versions a few months ago, and now Sprint is releasing it to its version of the device.

The rollout of the OTA starts today and may take a few weeks to hit all devices. The update bring the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 up to date with Android 4.1.1, adding Google Now, expandable notifications, Project Butter and other Jelly Bean goodies.

So Sprint Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 users, keep an eye out for this game changing update. It may take a while to land on your device, but once it arrives you should receive a notification before it installs. Users can also check manually by going to Settings on the device, navigating to the About section and clicking the Check Now tab.
