Strata Networks has joined the rank of a few other regional carriers to carry the iPhone 5, offering a $50 discount over the prices of Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. Strata is offering the iPhone 5 for $149 for the 16GB model, $249 for the 32GB model and $349 for the 64GB model. The carrier is also offering the iPhone 4S 16GB for $49. The iPhone 5 is available for purchase at Strata stores in Utah, Colorado and Wyoming.

Strata is a prepaid carrier that has branches in Colorado, Idaho and Utah, and starting building its 4G LTE network in late 2012.Strata has around 50,00 customers so far, and operates on a CDMA network, requiring customers to have an LTE SIM.

Although the iPhone 5 is not currently available for purchase online, Strata stores in Utah, Colorado and Wyoming now have the device available for purchase. Strata did update its website however to reflect the iPhone availability.

Strata plans start at $80 a month, which includes unlimited text, 1 GB of data, and 600 voice minutes. For $85 a month, customers will receive unlimited voice and text, as well as 1 GB of data.Pricing is based on a two-year contract obligation.

So if you’re in the market for an iPhone 5 and live in Strata’s area, pay their stores a visit to pick up Apple’s flagship smartphone. And keep your eyes peeled on their website, as online orders may be available soon.
