Forbes: What if Andy Rubin was working for Facebook?

Andy Rubin left his position as Google’s head of Android earlier this month and was reportedly headed to another position within Google. Google has been mum about Rubin and where he is working, which has lead to all sorts of speculation about  the former Android chief’s whereabouts. The latest theory comes from Fortune, which hypothesizes that Rubin may be working with Facebook on its upcoming Android announcement.

Writing for Forbes, Jean-Baptiste Su, who knows Rubin, suggests that Rubin’s leaving Android was not voluntary. Something enticed Rubin to leave Android, and Su thinks it could be a golden opportunity at Facebook. We don’t know for sure what Rubin has up his sleeve or even Facebook for that matter, but we will get a clue next week during Facebook’s April 4th announcement.
