AT&T getting HTC One on April 19 for $199.99, pre-orders begin April 4

We’ve finally gotten our answer to when we can all expect the HTC One to hit stores, and that day is April 19. AT&T will carry HTC’s latest flagship device on that date, while also opening up pre-orders this Thursday, April 4th. This after the second largest U.S. cellular provider was outed to being the only one who will carry the a 64GB version of the handset. The One will go on sale for $199.99, which is $50 less than what has been rumored for the past week.

This is awesome news for the Taiwanese handset maker as it tries to battle Samsung for Android supremacy. Having the One come out ahead of the Galaxy S 4 is crucial for the company.

News dropping of this wasn’t at all surprising. Yesterday a photo had been shown of an ad in a RadioShack showing the One for sale with a $50 Google Play gift card. So we knew it was a matter of time before HTC, or one of the major carriers announced when it planned to launch the device. Those interested in buying the device, should know that the phone will come in silver or black and in 32GB and 64GB capacities (as mentioned before).
