T-Mobile has announced today that it will be exclusively featuring the Nokia Lumia 521 on its network beginning in May. The Windows Phone 8 powered device will run on T-Mobile’s 4G network, giving customers an affordable smartphone with high-end features.

The Nokia 521, a variant of the Nokia Lumia 520, features a 4-inch screen, a 5MP camera with auto focus and 720p HD video recording, and will feature exclusive Nokia applications such as Nokia Music, Creative Studio, Panorama, Smart Shoot, Maps, Transit and Cinemagraph.

Physically, the Nokia Lumia 521 shares a design that is very similar to the rest of the Lumia 520 line, which is a bit boxy with sweeping curves around the edges of the display. We have only seen a white version of the device, but we will likely see the device come in a multitude of colors, like the rest of the Lumia devices.

The Nokia Lumia 521 will be sold through T-Mobile and Microsoft retail stores, as well as Wal-Mart. Pricing details have yet to be revealed, but will be coming soon. Previous reports detail the Nokia Lumia 520 pricing at $185 unlocked and off contract, so we could see pricing for the Lumia 521 to be somewhere in that ballpark.
