Nokia is finally bringing its mobile chat application to Lumia smartphones. Nokia Chat powered by Yahoo! is now available in beta in select markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, India, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Nigeria with other countries following shortly.
Feature wise, this release comes with person to person messaging, push notifications and Live Tile updates, ability to share a place and broadcast your location, and find contacts by scanning your phone’s address book. Moreover, if you have a Windows Phone 8-powered Lumia, you can also take advantage of voice-to-text capabilities and speak your message, give Nokia Chat voice commands (i.e. Chat with Blake), and get lock screen notifications.
