Canadian Telus has teamed-up with Apperian to launch a new Mobile Application Management (MAM) service designed to help its enterprise customers protect and manage their corporate mobile apps and data when employees use their own wireless devices at work.
Mobile application management provides companies with the ability to secure, manage and publish corporate apps on mobile devices without inconveniencing users or requiring the installation of additional software.
Relying on Apperian’s cloud-based platform, the solution allows IT managers to easily roll out an enterprise app store with full mobile app management capabilities. Employees on their end can discover corporate apps in a catalog that looks like a “regular” mobile app store with familiar ways to sort, search and install the corporate apps they need.
Once implement, IT managers should simply convince employees to use multiple app stores, one for installing “regular” apps and another one for corporate applications.
