HTC has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for dual-SIM version of the HTC One, which is sold in China. We’re not sure what’s all included in the new firmware though we guess some HTC-specific changes are there alongside various Android platform enhancements.
That’s all nice, but what about the international, single-SIM version? According to ROM developer LlabTooFeR that’s coming soon, as well. Unfortunately, we can’t put the date behind this claim and can only hope the rollout will begin sooner rather than later.
Those looking for the latest version of Android can always get the HTC One Nexus Experience (aka Google Edition) model which rocks Android 4.2.2 out of box and will most likely be among the first devices to get the “soon to be launched” Android 4.3. We’ll definitely let you know when a new version of Android is available for the HTC One (and other devices for that matter). Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
