HTC has started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update for international users in Taiwan. The 465MB-heavy download brings along few noticeable changes as well as some under-the-hood enhancements. Here’s what’s new:
- Launcher bar tweaks
- Widget panel rearrangement
- New lock screen style and widget
- Enhanced behavior of the home button
- The black bar is gone
- Battery percentage now appears in the status bar
- Quick settings
- AE/AF enhancements in the camera
We’re not sure which market will be served next but since the update is out now, we would guess the entire world will be “covered” during the next few weeks. Then come the carrier-specific versions which usually take longer to update as operators like to test out the software before launching it to its subscribers. More on this in the coming days and weeks…
