Forget about Nokia 1020 - the EOS will actually be called Nokia 909

Looks like we won’t get to meet the Nokia 1020; the Finnish company will rather go for another name – Nokia 909, showing that this phone shares the DNA of its predecessor – Nokia 808 PureView. However, unlike the earlier 41-megapixel camera-equipped device, the new one will rock Windows Phone 8 (rather than Symbian) and an improved camera software.

The information about the name change comes from EVleaks, which has an impressive track record and we tend to believe them. To further prove they know what they’re talking about, they shared an image of the 909’s back, which you can see from the image above. That, apparently, is AT&T’s unit that will undoubtedly sing along the carrier’s 4G LTE network.

Again, Nokia will officially launch the 909 smartphone on July 11th, at an event taking place in the New York City.
