Benchmarks allegedly from Samsung Galaxy Note 3 hint at Snapdragon 800 CPU

The next king of the phablets, the Galaxy Note 3, is expected to make its first official appearance later this quarter. If all goes according to rumors, Samsung will unveil the Note 3 during a press event to be held sometime in September. Details on the device remain elusive, but some information can be gleaned from a set of benchmarks that were spotted at Antu Tu by GforGames .

These benchmarks allegedly come from a Hong Kong-based Galaxy Note 3 with model number SM-N900. According to the Antu Tu entry, it has a 1.9GHz CPU, runs Android 4.2.2 and scored a decent 33082 on the test. Based on this performance and the 1.9GHz clock speed, we can guess with some assurance that this Note 3 variant is equipped with a Snapdragon 800 CPU. It is likely not an Exynos 5 Octa CPU or even a Snapdragon 600 because the Exynos processors don’t clock as high as 1.9GHz and the Snapdragon 600 doesn’t benchmark as high as 33000.

If you are hoping to grab an Exynos variant, don’t be disappointed as Samsung usually produces both an Eynos model and a Snapdragon model depending on the market in which they are released.
