BlackBerry 10.1 devices are getting updates as we speak. This maintenance release includes a number of fixes and user-requested improvements, such as:
- The ability to swipe between emails or messages in the Hub. It’s also possible to quickly jump to the last unread message by pressing “u” on the Q10.
- Ability to add apps to the Wish List in the BlackBerry World. Automatic updates have also been included though they seem to “affect” only the apps that came preloaded on the device.
- BlackBerry Balance users can now separate work and personal conversations in the Hub, something that for some reason wasn’t included out of box.
- Search box for in the Remember app.
- Language support for Korean and Chinese.
- The option to add just a simple password, instead of more complicated text strings.
On the downside though, some users are reporting that text messages are being deleted from the device upon reboot, while some others say everything is working just fine. That said, we advise you to backup your conversations prior to taping that update button…
