Motorola is pushing the customization options for the Moto X, including personal color choices and engraving. Though it usually a popular add-on, the engraving feature may not be available to prospective owners at launch.
According to a report by The Verge and and one by JR Raphael, Motorola is allegedly suspending engraving because the quality of the printing was not up to the company’s standards. Rather than send out subpar phones, Motorola has opted to delay the availability of engraving while it works out the kinks.
