Yesterday we’ve told you that Samsung will soon add support for Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) in the Exynos 5 Octa chip and ARM was quick to react, explaining in more details what this technology can do for you. The company released not one but three videos showing big.LITTLE’s capability by running QuickOffice, Angry Birds Rio game and GPU compute from ARM Mali.

HMP will enable Exynos 5 Octa SoC to activate fewer or all eight cores at once, depending on the task at hand. However, it’s worth adding that these videos show the Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chip in action, rather than the one marked as 5410, which is found in some versions of the Galaxy S4. So we’re not sure whether HMP will actually come to Sammy’s flagship or it’s reserved for some other models, like the newly unveiled Galaxy Note 3. While we don’t get that information, here are the three videos mentioned above. Enjoy!
