Samsung has been keen on capitalizing on the apparent interest of Chinese users for flip phones. After the Galaxy W789 aka Hennessy and Galaxy Golden, they’re out with another such device – Samsung SM-W2014.

Unlike the previous two models, this one is a true powerhouse, boasting Qualcomm’s super-powerful Snapdragon 800 chip. That, however, doesn’t mean this phone comes with HD screens; rather, it keeps (like two other devices) a pair of 3.67-inch WVGA displays. Rest of the specs include a 13-megapixel camera on the back, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 2GB of RAM, while Android 4.3 is running the show right from the get-go. Actually, the SM-W2014 is still not available but since it got certification from the Chinese equivalent of FCC, the chances are it will start selling in the near future.

And like that’s usually the case with Sammy’s flip phone, we doubt it will hit the Western hemisphere though few surrounding countries may get it; you never know. We’re not really into these kinds of device and are not interested in getting one of these, but some folks may like Android clamshells. The question is – are there enough of these users to justify the local phone launch? What do you think?
