SoundHound has updated their iOS app to take full advantage of iOS 7, bringing the music discovery app improved performance, a nifty new design and a new music map feature.

The new “My Map” feature allows SoundHound users to discover new music based on location data, with SoundHound users’ music selections appearing on a global map in real-time. My Map also allows users to track their own usage, with their app usage displayed on an interactive map. A similar feature has been a part of Sound Tracking, a similar music discovery app with social features built-in.

If you haven’t received the SoundHound update yet, head over to the App Store and download the new version.

SOUNDHOUND ROLLS OUT REDESIGNED APP FOR iOS 7 DEVICES AND
UNVEILS NEW PERSONALIZED MUSIC MAP FEATURE

‘My Map’ Lets Users Track and See Search History by Location

Santa Clara, CA – October 17, 2013 – SoundHound Inc., the
revolutionary sound search company today released an updated version
of its popular music search and discovery mobile application designed
specifically for iOS 7. The latest SoundHound update includes an
exclusive new music map feature, improved performance and
localization, and an updated sleek design.

The new signature feature within SoundHound for iOS 7 is “My
Map,” where registered SoundHound users’ music discoveries are
visualized on an interactive map. Users can filter their map view
across time periods including by day, week, month or all-time.

While “My Map” allows users to collect and visually track their
own music moments, they can also continue to see which songs and
artists are being discovered by other SoundHounders around the globe
via the “World Map” feature, introduced earlier this year.
Registered SoundHound users can easily toggle between the two map
views. All users can see the World Map and filter between music genres
including Rock, Urban, Country and Latin. These features are dynamic
and real-time.

By registering with SoundHound and creating an account, users can
access their personalized map at all times while enabling their search
history to be seen across devices, ensuring that content will not be
lost.

The enhanced SoundHound app for iOS 7 is available for free from the
App Store on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, or at

SoundHound is also available on Android devices at
