HTC won’t be bringing its One Max phablet to Canada, MobileSyrup is reporting. Here’s what the Taiwanese company sent to the website:

HTC devices differ from country to country, we work closely with carrier partners in each region to determine what is best for their consumers. Every market is different and has specific needs and demands. We consider a number of factors such as, the HTC devices currently available, the competition etc. At this time the current HTC line up of devices is sufficient for the Canadian marketplace.

I don’t see this as a firm “no.” Rather, it looks like Canadian networks are not interested to carry the HTC One Max at the moment. That could change quickly, though.

Again, HTC’s phablet rocks a rather huge 5.9-inch full HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core chip clocked at 1.7GHz, Ultrapixel camera on the back, LTE connectivity support, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Just like its smaller siblings HTC One and HTC One Mini, it boasts an all-aluminum body that makes it more durable than some other devices competing in that space…
