Smarpthones, like may technologies before it have changed the way humans interact with each other, for better or for worse. We are all still trying to figure out how smartphone usage fits into our social framework, namely etiquette. Is it rude to check your phone while having dinner with a friend, on a date or watching a movie in the theater? We all have our own opinions on the matter, and a new infographic sheds a light on smartphone etiquette as it stands today.

The infographic cites a number of studies which cite opinions of mobile users and when and where it is permissible to use the devices. A term known as phubbing, coined in the U.K. and is short for phone-snubbing.

Not surprisingly, younger people age 18-24 have more lax views on mobile use than older users. 50 percent of Millennials feel texting is ok while eating a meal, while only 15 percent of people aged 30 and older approve.

There are plenty more revelations in the infographic, take a peek below!
