Some two weeks ago, Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.3 update for its last year’s flagship device, Galaxy S3. Not everything worked out of box, prompting the company to temporarily suspend the rollout until the firmware is well-polished.
Users complained about a number of issues, including the wake-up lag, random freezing, battery drains, Bluetooth audio problems and poor RAM management to name a few. The Korean giant obviously wanted to get support for its Galaxy Gear smart watch as fast as possible without properly testing out every part of the new software.
The good news is that it acknowledged the problem, and has even issued the following statement:
As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.
Unfortunately we don’t know when the new, bug-free update will be out but the chances are Sammy’s engineers are working round the clock to squash all of the bugs reported by users. We’ll let you know when we hear something new on this…
