MetroPCS announced the addition of one of the biggest smartphones out there – Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. Although this unit has a large screen, it is a mid-range device under the hood with specs that include a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 6.3-inch 720p HD screen, 8-megapixel rear and 1.9-megapixel front cameras, and a 3,200mAh battery. 4G LTE connectivity support also comes included, while Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is running the show with TouchWIZ singing on top.
Price wise, MetroPCS will sell the Galaxy Mega 6.3 for $349.99 after a promotional $100 price drop and a $50 mail-in rebate. You don’t have to sign-up for any long-term contracts though you’re best off getting some minutes, texts and data from MetroPCS or T-Mobile. There’s an array of options to choose from and it’s up to you to select the plan that best fits your needs.
As for the availability date, the carrier will start selling Sammy’s over-sized phone on November 25th.
