Playstation 4 owners are in for a treat today, as a software update for the system will become available for download later this evening, bringing support for PULSE and PULSE Elite Edition wireless headsets which deliver 7.1 virtual surround sound and ridiculously clear voice chat. On top of the update, Sony has introduced a new headset to its lineup of awesome official Playstation headsets, the Gold Wireless Headset.
The new Gold Wireless Headset will launch this month for $99.99. The headset includes 7.1 virtual surround sound, custom audio modes customized for Playstation games, a noise cancelling microphone, customizable faceplates and much more. The headset can be used wirelessly with a PS4, PS3 or computer, or with a 3.5mm audio cable for use with the PS Vita and other mobile devices.
The headset will be useable with the Headset Companion App from Sony, which will be hitting the PlayStation store this month.
So PS4 owners, be on the lookout for the update to be available for install this evening, and expect the Gold Wireless Headset to be available for purchase soon!
