We’ve already seen edible iPhone cases in the past… Building on top of that, Portland, Ore.-based Grove has partnered with Woodblock Chocolate to make the most delicious case ever. The model you can see above is “precision-milled from the solid blocks of dark chocolate. The fully functioning case is designed for a thin and sleek look, and carefully crafted to allow access to all connectors and ports. The case is then hand finished for a velvety, smooth touch.”
To make this possible, Woodblock Chocolate’s Charley and Jessica Wheelock had to prepare a special chocolate which (among other things) lacks emulsifiers like soy lecithin to sing along Grove’s CNC machines.
The sad news is that you can’t buy one of these tasty cases. This was more of a PR stunt prepared for the Valentine’s Day; you’ll rather have to “settle” with some other Grove case. And since they have some seriously awesome models, you can hardly go wrong. 😉
