HTC America announced HTC Advantage program for future HTC One, One Mini and One Max owners. As part of the deal, anyone purchasing one of these three handsets will get a free one-time cracked screen replacement within the first six months of ownership, a commitment to future software innovation (as we’ve reported before), and content storage and backup solutions “that consumers need in today’s digital world.”
We like that screen-replacement policy and would love to see it extended to users all around the world. Alas, it’s limited to the folks in North America and only those who already haven’t bought a HTC One phone (cause this is valid for new purchases, only).
As for that storage part, the company offers 25GB – 50GB of free additional online storage, along “with the ease of transferring content from their computer to their phone,” and backup and restore options directly from HTC.
It remains to be seen whether this scheme will help HTC move more One, One Mini and One Max units. Furthermore, we’re not sure this program will also affect the future M8 purchases, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed that will indeed be the case.
