YotaPhone’s successor will be unveiled at next week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, BGR is reporting.
As I’m writing this, little is known about YotaPhone 2 except that it will be bigger than the original device. The main idea will be the same which means that the YotaPhone 2 will pack two screens, one of which will be e-ink based used for notifications and reading. Moreover, according to Russian sources that e-ink panel will get touch capabilities making it that much easier to browse around pages.
The original YotaPhone came with a 4.3-inch 720p HD touchscreen on one end, and E-Ink display with 640 x 360 pixels resolution on the back. Other features include a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 1-megapixel front-facing camera, 1800mAh battery, while Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is running the show.
We are hoping that unlike the original YotaPhone, the new model will be available all around the world. More to come, obviously.
