MWC 2014: HTC Unveils Mid-Range Smartphones Desire 816 and 610

We knew we wouldn’t be seeing the successor to the HTC One at MWC 2014,with HTC opting instead to unveil a pair of mid-range devices, the HTC Desire 816 and the Desire 610. The 816 is being touted as HTC’s “flagship mid-range” smartphone, with the device touting many of the HTC One’s features such as BoomSound, BlinkFeed and Sense 5.5. The HTC Desire 816 is slated for the worldwide market, beginning with a release in China in March and launching globally in April. The Desire 610 will be available in Europe beginning in May.

  • 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor

  • 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera
  • 2040 mAh battery
  • Dimensions of 143.1 x 70.5 x 9.6 mm and 143.5 grams
