Meizu has started sending out invites for its event taking place on Thursday, March 6th in Paris. The invite itself doesn’t tell us much about what to expect, but we’re betting we’ll see the MX4 unveiled at that time. Chances are this bad boy will rely on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 801 chip, or who knows, the new Exynos 5 Octa chip. Current Meizu MX3 uses earlier Exynos 5 so they may decide to keep relying on a Samsung-made SoC.
Additionally, we are also hoping to learn something about Meizu’s global plans. Considering that the event takes place in the capital of France, we may find out when Meizu phones will start selling in Europe.
In related news, Meizu has recently added support for French and Italian languages to its (Android-based) Flyme OS, hinting us where they want to expand next.
Finally, perhaps we get to learn a thing or two about Ubuntu-powered Meizu smartphone. While we think that device will be launched closer to the end of the year, we can’t get enough information about it. We want it now! 😉
