After SanDisk and Sony, Kingston is joining the Dual USB/MicroUSB flash drive craze with its DataTraveler MicroDuo product. As you would imagine, this little “device” (if we can call it like that) comes with a standard USB port on one side and microUSB one on the other, allowing for quick transfer of media (and other) files between a smartphone or tablet and PC.

“DT microDuo is a great companion device to mobile phones or tablets as it lets users back up files on the go thus freeing up space, or share files between devices with ease,” said Jean Wong, Flash memory business manager, Kingston. “Its sleek design has a built-in key loop and rotating cap, so it is small in size and big on storage. Travelers can take entire libraries of music or videos with them on trips without worrying about filling up the memory on their own device.”

Not all devices are supported, though. First of all, this will work with Android products running Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) or higher and have USB OTG support. You’ll want to go through this compatibility list before committing your hard-earned cash for the DataTraveler microDuo, which BTW comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB doses.
