Even though the Xiaomi Redmi has been selling in China for more than a year, it’s still a popular device, offering a hard-to-beat value for money. Up until this point it was available with black front though users were able to change its back cover.
Now the white version has been announced, helping the handset maker move another (big) batch of Redmi units. Alas, the first series comes with TD-SCDMA connectivity and is limited to China Mobile’s 3G network. Nevertheless, we’re sure the WCDMA version will follow shortly and eventually reach markets outside of China.
Meanwhile, the so called “Apple of China” is preparing for the Xiaomi festival when we expect to see limited edition color options for certain products. We’ve already seen the still unannounced gold Mi3 and red Xiaomi TV, and now the white Redmi is joining the party. Seems like good times are ahead for Xiaomi fans. 😉
