This is how Verizon’s Kyocera Brigadier looks like

Some time ago, we’ve mentioned that Verizon Wireless will get Kyocera Brigadier. At that time, we were pretty clueless what this device will be all about and all we could do is speculate it will be a rugged phone like many other Kyocera phones from the past.

The good news is that this will indeed be a smartphone; the bad news is that it will be an ugly device, but I guess that comes as given with all ruggedized phones. You can’t have it all.

Specs are still a mystery but again – rugged phones are notorious for offering low-to-mid end features. We do see the white status bar icons, hinting us Android 4.4 KitKat could be running the show.

Anyhow, now that the press photos are out, we would assume the launch is imminent. We’ll let you know when we hear something new on this. Stay tuned…
