Sprint and Samsung have started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the now aging Galaxy S III smartphone. The carrier hasn’t specified all the details, but users should expect a number of changes, performance and stability improvements, as well as bug fixes — all of which should make for a that much better user experience.
Aside from all the changes included in the Android platform, Samsung will likely update many of its own apps, and perhaps even add new ones. Furthermore, Sprint on its end may bundle some apps with the update.
But again, we’re not sure what’s all included cause we don’t have the changelog. Nevertheless, you should tap that “Update” button the second you’re prompted to do so. It’s a good practice to have an up-to-date firmware… Just make sure you have enough juice to complete the process.
