Samsung has started rolling out small, but notable, update for the international version of its flagship smartphone, Galaxy S5. According to SamMobile, British users will be the first to get the new software with the rest of the world following shortly… or so we hope.
The main new things users will notice are speed improvements in the camera and gallery apps, both of which are now faster to open. In addition, the fingerprint scanner accuracy has been improved even with one-hand usage.
Finally, the overall experience seems much smoother now, but that may have nothing to do with new software but with the whole process that restarts the phone.
The update is currently available via Kies and is also rolling out over the air, though it could take another few days or weeks before every single Galaxy S5 owner gets the goodies. If you hate waiting, there’s an alternative way — which we don’t suggest — to cram this latest build to your smartphone – download the new software from SamMobile’s firmware section and update manually.
