Motorola Atrix HD Update Rolling Out; Sadly, It’s Not KitKat

Motorola Atrix HD gets a huge bug-fixing update

Motorola is rolling out an update today for its ageing Atrix HD smartphone, one that fixes bugs and adds security enhancements. While Motorola has promised that the Atrix HD will indeed receive Android 4.4 KitKat, the company has failed to deliver thus far. Don’t get too distraught though – the new update ensures your Atrix HD is safe from that nasty Heartbleed bug that was forcing way too many password resets. And the fact that Motorola hasn’t abandoned the device altogether is, well, something.

Expect an update notification on your device if you haven’t received one yet. For the impatient, head to Settings > About phone > System updates and install the update manually.

Sit tight Atrix HD owners, KitKat should arrive on your device soon. Don’t hold your breath though.
