There are no doubts in my mind that the Galaxy Note 4 will be the best phablet around the moment it launches. The official announcement is likely coming in early September, and in the meantime – we keep watching the rumormill.

According to SamMobile, hardware will be just one of the things that will make the Note 4 great; Samsung on its end will also include some fancy software tricks to make for a that much better user experience. Some of these features will include:

  • Swipe to launch Motion Launcher – this will likely enable future Note 4 users to fire-up some app without unlocking the device. For what it counts, the HTC One M8 has a similar function called Motion Launch.
  • Aqua Capture – so that you can take photos under water, hinting us that just like the Galaxy S5 (Active) – the Note 4 will be a water-proof device.
  • Multi Network for Booster – this could be the same as the Download Booster feature on the Galaxy S5, which combines a Wi-Fi and mobile data connection to download large files faster.
  • Smart Fingerprint – that will allow users to not only unlock the Note 4 with their finger but also to do some other things like open an app, initialize a purchase (PayPal?) and so on. Considering that the Galaxy S5 already does some of these things, chances are Samsung will build on top of that functionality to include few other features to the mix.

SamMobile’s report goes to suggest that the features mentioned above are already being tested on the Galaxy S5 with Android 4.4.3, hence that phone may also get these goodies via a firmware update. More to come…
