You may think Samsung already has an impressive tablet portfolio; think again. The Korean company may be adding additional models by the end of the year, and at least one of these devices could rock a 4K screen.

Such, still unannounced Samsung tablet has been used as part of a LTE Broadcast demonstration during the French Open at Roland Garros. According to TechRadar, aside from that impressive 12-inch display, this unit also boasts Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 chip, which is known for powering today’s top phones like Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and LG G3.

While we’re not sure this processor has what it takes to cope with super-big images and video, we are confident this is just a demo unit, with final version rocking Qualcomm’s more-potent Snapdragon 805 SoC. Or perhaps 64-bit Snapdragon 808 or 810.

We can’t be 100% certain when Samsung will launch a 4K tablet, but we do know what Qualcomm’s Senior VP of Product Management Raj Talluri said during the company’s event in Paris – he claims that such device will be out before the year is out. And we know who has the most extensive tablet portfolio and will likely be among the first ones to jump onboard, right?

Meanwhile, we’ll see a pair of Galaxy Tab S tablets launching next week. It is said that both the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5 will come with a 2560×1600 pixels screen, Samsung’s own octa-core Exynos 5420 processor, 3GB of RAM, fingerprint sensor, dual cameras and so on.
