Looks like Vivo is preparing to stun the market one more time. This particular Chinese vendor is known for being the first to launch a phone with Quad HD screen. Moreover, they are also known for their great smartphone camera technology, but that’s just a start.

What these guys (and gals) are working on next is rather amazing. From what the rumors are suggesting, we may see them launching the first-ever phone capable of running Android AND Windows Phone. It’s unclear how far off are we from seeing this monster mobile device, and can only hope this will be a short wait.

If we can take leaked photos for anything, Vivo’s dual-boot phone may sport a 5-inch display, while relying on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips that are supported by Microsoft’s platform.

We’re not sure how the magic happens under the hood, but could easily imagine some kind of dual-storage solution, where one part is used to house Windows Phone, and another for Android files. Some sort of sharing mechanism should also be in place to allow users to, for instance, have unified contacts list, bookmarks, photo gallery and so on.

That being said, I can’t really imagine the use case for this sort of device, though it will definitely give Vivo a certain dose of bragging rights. Who else could make something like that, after all?

We’ll bring you more details as soon as we get ’em. Stay tuned in the meantime.
