LG announced a new low- to mid-end device, the F60, which can’t help but remind us on the (also recently) unveiled LG L Fino.
The LG F60 seems to be made for first-time 4G LTE phone buyers. It packs a 4.5-inch screen with WVGA resolution, Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon chip clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, as well as 4 or 8 GB of internal storage, depending on the market.
In addition, the phone has a 5-megapixel main camera that is coupled with a 1.3-megapixel selfie shooter. And since everyone are talking selfies these days, LG included a nice way to make selfie-taking a seamless experience. Use gesture shot to take a photo of yourself – make a fist to set up and open your hand to start a 3-second countdown. What’s more, if the underlying figures there’s not enough light around, the screen will glow white to serve as a front-facing flash.
As that’s usual for all newer LG phones, Android 4.4 KitKat is running the show with LG’s own software tweaks singing on top. These include the Knock Code that makes device unlocking easier and more secure.
In the press release announcing the F60, the Korean company failed to mention its price, so we’re assuming it will vary by markets. We do learn that this phone will be available in black and white, though.
